OECD GVH Regional Center seminar on “Competition Agency Tools for Promoting Growth and Welfare” was held in Yerevan on 18-20 March, 2026. About 40 representatives from competition authorities and international organizations attended to the seminar. The speakers included representatives from Italy, Spain, Romania, Portugal, Albania as well as OECD.
Maria Pilar Canedo, Academic Director of OECD GVH Regional Centre, in her speach expressed her gratetute to the Armenian competition authority for organizing the seminar in Yerevan, adding:
“OECD RCC seminars are not ordinary seminars. Through these seminars, we have created a family of competition experts, and today many of you belong to it, while others are joining a community that began its activities 20 years ago.”
“We highly value the long- standing partnership with OECD GVH Regional Center. Over the years, representatives of the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission have activley participated in OECD RCC seminars, through which they have accumulated valuable knowledge and practical skills. This serves as important support in our daily work,” emphasized Shushan Sargsyan, Member of the CCPC RA, welcoming the participants of the event.
During the three days of the seminar, speakers addressed issues such as e competition law enforcement, merger assessment, market analysis, and the promotion of a competitive culture to ensure a level playing field in free markets, foster innovation, and promote societal well-being.
Hypothetical cases were also discussed to enhance the practical application of participants’ professional skills.
