Gegham Gevorgyan, chairman of Competition and Consumer Protection Commission of Armenia, took part in the 11th International Forum on Fair Competition Policy held in Beijing, China. In his speech, Mr. Gevorgyan underlined the importance of ensuring fair competition, as well as the need to share international best practices to modernize competition policy and enhance its effectiveness.
“For our Commission, international engagement is already an integral part of our strategy. We are committed to deepening cooperation with regional and global partners, sharing our insights, and learning from others. Together, we can build more competitive, fair, and resilient markets that meet the demands of today and tomorrow. Together, we are not merely enforcing rules, we are shaping the future of economy itself” he emphasized.
During the visit, Mr. Gevorgyan and Luo Wen, Minister of the State Administration for Market Regulation of the People’s Republic of China, exchanged signed copies of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of competition law enforcement and competition policy between the two institutions. This exchange followed the agreement reached between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Chinese President Xi Jinping on August 31 in Tianjin, during the meeting.
