Gegham Gevorgyan, chairman of Competition Protection Commission, participated in 22nd OECD Global Forum on Competition in Paris, which brings together high-level officials from more than 100 competition authorities and international organisations worldwide since 2001.
Joining with representatives of international organisations and invited experts, participants debate and discuss key topics on the global competition agenda.
During the event Gegham Gevorgyan shared with his colleagues the experience of Competition Protection Commission of the Republic of Armenia on use of Economic Evidence in Cartel Cases.
CPC chairman noted, that anticompetitive agreements stand apart from other offenses in the field of economic competition, primarily due to their dangerousness and the intricacies associated with their proving. Given the inherent nature of such offenses, these agreements are typically proved by evidence of an economic nature, in other words, through “behavioural” evidence obtained by studying the actions and conduct of legal entities.
