Mrs. Anush Begloyan, member of the Competition Protection Commission and Mr. Hrair Aramyan, advisor to the chairman of the CPC participated online in the 23rd meeting of the Coordination Council on Advertising Issues of the Interstate Council on Antimonopoly Policy of the CIS countries, held in Kazan on February 16–17.
During the meeting, Anush Begloyan presented the legislative regulations of the Republic of Armenia regarding the advertising of discounts and other promotions, as well as the protection of minors from unfair advertising.
In her speech, Anush Bekhloyan particularly emphasized the new regulations initiated by the Commission and in effect since July 31, 2022, concerning discounts and other promotional activities. These regulations include mandatory information requirements applicable to both physical sales points and advertisements disseminated via electronic and social media. She also highlighted several notable cases related to unfair competition arising from misleading advertising.
