The Commission is pleased to announce that a number of amendments to the RA Law on “Protection of Economic Competition” came into force on 14 April, 2007.
Draft Law on “Protection of Economic Competition” of the Republic of Armenia (hereinafter “Draft”) was developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the RA Ministry of Industry and Trade. Draft developing process which was implemented by the joint participation of experts of the Armenian-European Center for Economic Policy and Legal Advisory ( AEPLAC) and the RA Ministry of Industry and Trade lasted almost two years.
National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia adopted the RA Law on “Protection of Economic Competition” of the Republic of Armenia (hereinafter “Law”) on November 6 2000. The Law was verified by the President of the Republic of Armenia on December 5, 2000.
Relevant changes and supplements to the RA Law on “Protection of Economic Competition” were introduced on June 28, 2002 (HO-398-N), October 2, 2002 (HO-436-N), December 25, 2003 (HO-29-N), May 26, 2004 (HO-86-N), May 4, 2005(HO-91-N) and February 22, 2007.
