September 12-13, 2002 

 

OSCE and USAID jointly organized a session on “Good Governance in Economic Policy Development in Armenia: Promoting Economic Competition”.

 

Following the recommendations of the OSCE Ninth Economic Forum, OSCE Office in Yerevan in cooperation with  the Armenian-European Policy and Legal Advise Centre decided on organize a seminar on the subject  of “Transparency and Good Governance in Economic Policy:  Promoting Economic Competition”. Seminar was organized by OECD Yerevan Office with the USAID administrative and financial assistance.  Participation of international experts in seminar was funded by the Government of the German Federal Republic, US Government, European Commission and European Bank of Reconstruction and Development.

 

The key goal of Seminar was to assist reforms aimed at the good governance and creation of business atmosphere in Armenia through improved economic policy.
 
A package of conclusions and recommendations were developed based on speeches, discussions and consultations of the international and local experts during the seminar.
